Who We Are
Developed and conducted by Thomas Buck and Lovis Armah, in partnership with the Ghana Education Service, Northern Wisconsin school districts, and the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Department of Computer Science, this on-going international collaborative program explores culturally responsive STEM robotics through summer LEGO Mindstorms and Aerial Robotics camps held in Superior, Wisconsin (USA) and Accra, Ghana.
What We Do
Throughout the camps, participants are introduced to real-world applications of robotics, including automation, environmental sensing, and simple AI behaviors. Daily activities include guided tutorials, creative building sessions, and friendly competitions to reinforce key STEM concepts in a fun, dynamic setting. By the end of the program, students not only gain confidence in coding and engineering but also present their robot projects in a final demonstration, showcasing both technical skills and teamwork.
